Our System

Grand River Transit's customers pay as they board.  Entry is by cash, ticket, pass or transfer.  Exact fare is required on the buses.

Our Routes

We have roughly 66 regular routes that service the Waterloo region. All routes in Cambridge are accessible. Over 85% of all our buses that service The  Region are accessible. Some of our busiest routes are route 7, iXpress, route 8 and route 12. These routes connect the three cities of Kitchener, Waterloo and Cambridge making it easy for intercity travellers.

Our Fleet

We have 218 conventional buses. All 218 buses are diesel powered. Of the 218 buses in our fleet, 6 of those buses are Hybrid Electric buses and 196 are equipped with accessibility features. We also have an additional  29 MobilityPLUS vehicles in our fleet.
