Buying Tickets (Fare Agent list)
When paying by cash, please have the exact cash fare available when boarding the bus. Operators do not provide change.
Purchasing a strip of GRT Adult tickets offers value and convenience.
Adults (ages 19 to 64, including post-secondary students)
The monthly pass provides unlimited ridership on all GRT routes for one calendar month. If you take a round-trip on GRT five times a week, a monthly pass saves you nearly 30 per cent of the cash fare.
Note: A pass for the following month is on sale from the 20th of each month until the 15th business day of the following month.
To purchase or use an Adult pass, you need a GRT Photo I.D. card. Photo I.D. is available at the Ainslie Street and Charles Street Transit Terminals for a one-time fee.
Keep your pass after it expires. You can claim the cost as a transit tax credit.
Show your GRT Adult Photo I.D. with your pass when you board the bus. Your pass should have the serial number of the Photo I.D. card inscribed in ink, ballpoint or felt marker. The pass is non-refundable and not transferrable. GRT will not refund or replace a monthly transit pass for any reason.
The Day Pass works well for individuals, families or anyone taking numerous bus trips in a single day.
To use it as a single pass or family pass, just scratch off the day and month you wish to travel. When boarding the bus for the first time that day, show your pass to the driver. The driver will punch the month and day scratched so the pass is valid for the rest of that day.
