If you live on a reduced income and have a hard time paying for a bus pass, our Transit for Reduced Income Program (T.R.I.P) may be able to offer a discount.
With T.R.I.P., an adult monthly bus pass costs $35, a discount of $28. The pass is good for unlimited rides on GRT buses within the month. You must meet the eligibility requirements before you can purchase a reduced monthly bus pass.
Note: Students and seniors are not eligible for T.R.I.P.
You may qualify for T.R.I.P. if your income falls below the low income cut-off as determined by Statistics Canada.
You can apply through one of two agencies. You will need to provide your gross annual income before taxes, and the source of that income. To apply, contact:
Once you are approved for T.R.I.P., agency staff will help you with the next steps.
