Reduced Monthly Pass: $50.00 (effective January 1, 2009)
The Reduced monthly pass is for seniors (65+), elementary students and high school students, and provides unlimited ridership privileges on all GRT routes for a period of one calendar month.

Purchasing a Reduced Pass
To purchase or use a Reduced pass, you need a GRT Photo ID card. This Photo ID is available at the Ainslie St. and Charles St. Transit Terminals for $5.00. Seniors need only purchase this Photo ID once, while students must purchase a new Photo ID each school year (By September 30th). Be prepared to show proof of your senior or student status. High school students should bring a current student card or school timetable along with identification. Elementary students should be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

The monthly pass for the next month goes on sale on the 20th of each month until the 15th business day of the next month.

Reduced passes are available at the Ainslie St. and Charles St. Transit Terminals, as well as most Sobeys and Zehrs stores across the Region. Click here for more fare agent locations. Be sure to keep your pass after it is expired, as you will be able to claim the cost for a tax credit.

Proper use
Show your GRT Senior or Student Photo ID when you buy a Reduced pass and when you board the bus. This will let the fare agent and the bus operator know that you qualify to use a Reduced fare and are the rightful owner of the pass. Your pass should have the serial number of the Photo ID card inscribed with ink, ballpoint or felt marker. The pass is non-refundable and not transferrable. GRT will not be responsible for refunding or replacing monthly transit passes for any reason.

Gift certificates
Give the gift of travel! Gift certificates for the future purchase of a monthly pass are available at the Ainslie St. Transit Terminal and the Charles St. Transit Terminal.
