King Street reopening – Route 7, 200 detours changing Sept. 4

Posted on Friday July 28, 2017

King Street is reopening at Victoria Street, with the completion of construction.

Route 7 and 200 will remain on their current detours for a few more weeks, until fall service starts on Sept. 4. These detours affect route and operator schedules, so they can only be changed during the fall service change.

On Sept. 4, Route 7 will return to its normal routing on King Street between Gaukel and William. Because of construction in Uptown Waterloo, it will detour via William and Regina until that section of King Street reopens.

Route 200 will travel on Park Street between Victoria and William and provide iXpress service to Grand River Hospital. Stops will be located at Park/Green and in Uptown Waterloo. Because of construction in Uptown Waterloo, it will detour via William and Regina until King Street reopens.

Both buses can't run on King Street because of the narrower width of the street. Route 7 buses stop more frequently and would delay the Route 200.
