New ION bus to be unveiled

Waterloo Region – Grand River Transit’s (GRT) new ION bus will be rolling out this month following a special unveiling at Ainslie Street Terminal on Monday, March 19, 2018 at 9:00 a.m.
ION bus is funded through the Region of Waterloo’s Stage 1 rapid transit project, which also includes a bus rapid transit system from the Fairway ION station in Kitchener to the Ainslie Street Terminal in Cambridge. The rapid transit project also includes a light rail connection...

2018 Transit Network changes

Big changes are coming to our transit network in 2018, when ION light rail service starts. Many GRT bus routes will change to connect directly to ION stations. Others will run more directly and more often between important destinations.

Are you living with low income and want more affordable access to Grand River Transit?
The Region of Waterloo is looking for volunteers to participate in a research study. The purpose of the study is to evaluate the effects of different reduced fare transit passes. Participants could have the chance to purchase special reduced-cost passes.
