Waterloo Region – Grand River Transit (GRT) is improving the way it communicates service disruptions to customers with the launch of a new Twitter account dedicated to service alerts.
@AlertsGRT  provides real-time notifications to riders if there is an emergency detour on a bus route or if a trip is cancelled or delayed on a route, including ION light rail service.

Waterloo Region – Grand River Transit (GRT) has been advised that an operator has tested positive for COVID-19.
The operator most recently worked on Sunday October 4 and tested positive on October 8, 2020. The operator is now self-isolating at home.
GRT has undertaken numerous steps to keep our employees and customers safe, including enhanced cleaning and disinfecting of vehicles, stations and frequently touched surfaces, requiring operators to wear masks in public...

Waterloo Region – The Region of Waterloo approved a 40-month agreement with UNIFOR Local 4304 representing Grand River Transit/MobilityPLUS operators, dispatchers, fleet mechanics and service attendants. GRT will return to full service Saturday, February 1, 2020.

Waterloo Region - A tentative agreement has been reached between the Region of Waterloo and Unifor Local 4304, representing Grand River Transit/MobilityPLUS, operators, dispatchers, fleet mechanics and service attendants.
