Starting March 14, you can connect to your GO train trips for free. GO Transit is eliminating the 50¢ Connect-to-GO fare so you can travel to and from the Kitchener Train Station for free on GRT.   Just show the operator your Presto card or valid GO train ticket when you board.   Read the Ontario government's press release announcing the change   Learn more about connecting to GO Trains on GRT

Summer service begins Monday, June 28, 2021.
The following routes have schedule changes Monday to Friday:
Route 1, 16: Regular summer service reduction to every 30 minutes during peak times
Route 5: New extension to Hollinger Crescent added to two trips in the morning and two trips late night
Route 51, 302: Additional running time added for Hespeler Road/Hwy 401 bridge reconstruction and Pinebush vaccination clinic service

Effective immediately, we've added two extra trips departing Fairway Station to Sportsworld at 5:58 a.m. and 6:30 a.m.
The ‘Sportsworld Express’ will use the Route 302 stop at Fairway. The 6:30 a.m. trip departing Fairway Station will turn into Route 72 at Sportsworld and continue to serve stops on Maple Grove, Boxwood and Vondra

Starting July 1 , the reduced fare for seniors, elementary and high school students will end. There will be no change to cash fares, regular monthly passes or stored value payments for the second year.

GRT made a number of changes to our MobilityPLUS specialized service this year, following a review in 2020. We're now seeking public feedback on some additional recommended changes to MobilityPLUS service that would affect how dialysis patients books trips.
We want to hear from those who would be affected by any changes, especially MobilityPLUS customers who book trips to dialysis appointments.
