The improvements include:

- Re-paving
- New tactile edges along the bus bays
- New tactile surfaces for navigating the station
- More space for pedestrians
- New shelters with seating on the bus island
- Addition of a fare vending machine
- Passenger information displays in each shelter
- Safety improvements including security cameras and lighting inside shelters
Construction is expected to start around mid-June and take approximately three months.
Temporary station
During construction, bus platforms will be closed and buses will move to a temporary station north of Sport Chek. ION train service will not be affected. Customers may need to allow more time when transferring between buses and trains during construction.
Route 7 and 201 buses will drop off customers at stop 4004 on King Street, for customers transferring to ION light rail.
Route 21 customers can use stop 4004 for the quickest connection.
