All Grand River Transit buses, including MobilityPLUS buses, will resume service on Thursday, May 11.
We understand that residents rely on transit on a daily basis and to show our appreciation for our customers, no fares will be collected on transit from Thursday, May 11, up to and including May 22, Victoria Day. Customers who purchased a May monthly pass before May 8 will receive a June pass.

Service information
All GRT services will resume and Customer Service Centres will also reopen on Thursday, May 11. Conventional buses, busPLUS and Flexible Transit routes, as well as ION trains, will operate.
On Wednesday, GRT staff will prepare buses for the return to service, including performing safety checks and maintenance.
Please note: wait times at Customer Service Centre locations may be longer than normal. Thank you for your patience while we get services back up and running.

MobilityPLUS bookings will resume on Wednesday, May 10, at 7 a.m., for rides starting on May 11. Trips can be booked by calling 519-744-2241, or online. Previously booked rides for Thursday, May 11 will be honoured. |
No fares collected from May 11 to May 22
No fares will be collected on GRT services, including GRT bus, MobilityPLUS and ION train service, from May 11 up to and including May 22, Victoria Day. Fares will be collected starting Tuesday, May 23.
From May 11 to May 22, do not tap your card before boarding.
There are no changes to TaxiScrip purchases or usage during this period.
Refunds
Grand River Transit does not provide refunds of passes or stored value. Customers who purchased a May monthly pass on or before May 8 will get a June pass.
Refunds will not be provided for additional expenses related to finding alternative transportation options, including ridesharing services and taxi rides.

Fare options for May 23 to May 31
Fare collection will resume on May 23.
If you typically purchase a monthly pass, but will not take more than 30 trips from May 23 to May 31, you can purchase single-ride tickets at a fare vending machine or load stored value on your EasyGO fare card.
Stored value can be purchased and loaded at Customer Service Centres, on the My EasyGO website and at fare vending machines.
When you load stored value on your EasyGO fare card, you pay less per trip than when you pay with cash.

When visiting a Customer Service Centre, please be aware wait times may be longer than usual.
If you use an EasyGO fare card with a monthly pass, a June pass will be automatically loaded onto your card. You do not need to visit a Customer Service Centre.
