University Students Wilfrid Laurier University & University of Waterloo Universal Bus Pass. (U-Pass)
Full-time undergraduate and graduate students may use their student card (OneCard at WLU; Watcard at UW) for unlimited rides on GRT buses. The cost is included in university tuition and valid for all school terms: September to December; January to April; May to August.
Part-time students, faculty and department staff are not eligible for the pass program.
GRT reserves the right to check the validity of a U-Pass and the identity of the user of the U-Pass and to deny use of the U-Pass. Students who present an expired, altered, or fraudulent U-Pass will have their card confiscated by the GRT bus operator or Supervisor . GRT will forward all confiscated cards to the University of Waterloo Watcard Office or Wilfrid Laurier OneCard office by the end of the next business day after confiscation. Attempted fraudulent use of the U-Pass may result in penalties to students and/or prosecution under applicable legislation.
When paying by cash, please have the exact cash fare available when boarding the bus. Operators do not provide change.
Students can take the iXpress or Routes 7, 8, 9 or 12 on University Avenue in Waterloo and connect with other routes to get around Waterloo Region.
The late night loop gives you additional service to get you home from the Club safe. Link to additional information on the Late Night Loop.
The iXpress bus travels between Waterloo's Conestoga Mall and Cambridge.
