GRT has seven express bus routes that provide frequent, limited-stop service along major corridors in Kitchener-Waterloo and Cambridge. The iXpress/ION bus routes have shelters with digital signs showing real-time departure information for the next bus. Select stations also have map displays, bike racks and bike lockers.
The 302 ION bus uses transit priority signals to move along routes more quickly. These signals detect buses as they approach and either extend the green or shorten the red signal to minimize delays.
The portion of the 200 iXpress between Conestoga Mall and Fairview Mall was replaced by ION light rail.
