GO Transit customers

GO train and bus riders benefit from the Connect-to-GO program!

The Connect-to-GO program enables Grand River Transit customers, including MobilityPLUS customers, to get a rebate on their GRT fare when transferring to and from GO buses and trains at select locations.

Stations with Connect-to-GO validators include Pinebush, Sportsworld, University of Waterloo and the Kitchener Train Station.

To participate, customers need to enrol in the program using their EasyGO fare card. Stored value and MobilityPLUS tickets can be used to participate in this program. Please note that this program does not apply to monthly passes.

How to enrol:

First register your EasyGo card and then login at grteasygofarecard.ca.

Complete one of the following:

You will need to provide your 17-digit physical Presto card or your 24-digit digital Presto card number to enrol.

How it works

Travelling to the GO station/stop on GRT

  1. Tap your EasyGO fare card when you board a GRT bus or ION train 
  2. Tap again at the validator located at the GO station/stop

Travelling from the GO station/stop on GRT:

  1. Tap your EasyGO fare card at the validator located at the GO station/stop
  2. Tap again when you board a GRT bus or ION train 

When you've tapped your card twice, you'll get a rebate for your GRT fare.

Locations were chosen based on popular transfer points for GO Transit and GRT customers in each of the three cities.

MobilityPLUS customers

Registered MobilityPLUS customers can enrol by:

  • Calling 519-585-7555

You will need to provide your 17-digit Presto card number or your 24-digit digital Presto card number to enrol.

Once enrolled, you do not need to pay a fare when riding to or from the Kitchener Train Station.
