GRT is changing Route 72 and service to the Cambridge Business Park and surrounding area. These changes will provide better service to the growing residential area and business park, and increase connections to the Region of Waterloo International Airport.
Changes start Sept. 2, 2024.
- Route 72 Flex Boxwood becomes Route 62 Speedsville, a conventional bus route operating on Cherry Blossom Rd., Speedsville Rd., Maple Grove Rd., Boxwood Dr. and Vondrau Dr. The route runs every 30 minutes between 6 a.m. and 11:30 p.m.
- Route 78 Fountain will provide service approximately every 30 minutes on Fountain Street, connecting to Region of Waterloo International Airport. The hours of service are Monday to Friday, 6-10 a.m., 2-7 p.m. and 10:30-11:30 p.m. The existing Route 61 Fountain will be renamed Route 61 Preston.

| 1169 90 Vondrau Dr | This stop will be closed. The closest alternate stop is 3648 on Vondrau Dr. at Boxwood Dr., served by the new conventional route 62. |
