Ryder the GRT mascot

Ryder's journey to GRT

Ryder's story began in an unexpected place, on one of our buses. A small plush bunny was found left behind after a trip, clearly someone’s well-loved travel companion. We shared a post on social media to try and reunite him with his owner, hoping he’d find his way back home. But no one came forward. Instead, Ryder found himself staying with us at GRT, becoming a familiar little passenger as he made his way through buses, garages and everyday transit life.Β

One day, a bus operator brought Ryder to the bus garage, where he happened to be on a bus as it made its way through the bus wash. As the bus rolled through the wash and everything around it came alive with motion and sound, something shifted for Ryder. In that moment, he became something more than a lost bunny, he came to life. A cheerful little bunny brought to life through the rhythm of transit, Ryder now represents the journeys we all take, planned or unplanned, ordinary or unexpected and all the moments in between.
