Construction of the new Doon Station is expected to begin in summer 2026 and be completed in 2027. Located near Conestoga College in Parking Lot 5 off Doon Valley Drive, the new station will be a modern, accessible transit facility that will make connections easier and improve the overall customer experience.

Once complete, it will include nine bus bays, along with additional layover space to support efficient service and improved connections between routes. New operator amenities are also planned.

Canopy-style shelters
Passenger information display screens
Updated wayfinding
On-demand shelter heaters
On-site bike parking
Multi-use trail connection to Doon Valley Drive

Doon Station will be an important transfer point between Kitchener and Cambridge, helping strengthen regional connectivity and supporting a more reliable, efficient transit network. The project supports GRT's Business Plan by improving transit access for new and growing communities while creating capacity for future service expansion.
