Types of trips

There are two types of trips you can book:

On-demand: are single trips that can be booked with no requirement to book repeating or ongoing trips. 

Subscription: are ongoing trips greater than three occurrences that take place on the same day at the same time. 

How to book an on-demand trip

Book on-demand trips:

  • Through the MobilityPLUS online booking portal
  • By calling 519-744-2241 during booking hours:
    • Monday to Saturday and statutory holidays: 7 a.m.-10:15 p.m.
    • Sunday: 8:30 a.m.-10:15 p.m.

How to book subscription trips

Subscription trips are ongoing rides that occur: 

  • On the same day/days
  • At the same time
  • To the same location

Subscription trips are ongoing trips (greater than three occurrences) that take place on the same day at the same time. You can set an end date, or have them booked indefinitely. Subscription trips can be booked for any type of repeating trip.

You can request subscription trips using the MobilityPLUS subscription trips online form or by calling the MobilityPLUS booking line at 519-744-2241. Cancelling can only be done by telephone.

Trip requests can be submitted seven days in advance. GRT staff will respond to requests by calling customers within seven days. We will do our best to accommodate requests, however booking is based on availability.

All subscription trips, including trips to dialysis appointments, will be cancelled on statutory holidays (not including Remembrance Day or Easter Monday). Please call seven days in advance to rebook your trip.

What you'll need

To book rides, please have the following information available:

  • Your name and MobilityPLUS ID number
  • The date you require transportation
  • Your exact pick-up address
  • Your exact drop-off address
  • The times you wish to arrive at and return from your destination. These times must be at least one hour apart.
  • The time you want to return
  • Whether you will be accompanied by a support person or guest
  • What mobility device (if any) will be used.

Travel times

MobilityPLUS customers may travel within these times:

  • Monday to Friday: 5:15-1:15 a.m.
  • Saturday: 5:30-1:15 a.m.
  • Sunday and statutory holidays: 7:15-1:15 a.m.
